Mon. I started with a small blister on the back of my big toe. Tues it was the size of a quarter and Tues nite my toe was a little red and swollen with a deep purple mark about 1/2 in long in front of my big toe. I applied ice to my foot Wed. and Thurs.due to swelling on ther top of my foot and it seemed to be getting better until Fri I started to have pain in my foot and it was just throbbing. I originally thought I had a spider bite although I never saw a spider in my shoe but had slippped my foot into a pair of shoes that were in my garage on Sun. I'm on antibiotics since Fri eve and a strong cortisone cream I'm applying to my toe. Less pain and no throbbing, but still swollen with the purple mark and local redness. No fever. What do u think? spider bite, cellulitis?. My Dr. not sure, but I see him again in AM
