Yes, my mother has a swelling of the lymph nodes from an undetermined cause. The swelling began in the parotid gland and she has lumps in her jaws which were thought at first to be stones in the salivary glands. The swelling is intermittent and rather painful. It has progressed into the throat to the left of the thyroid gland. It formerly involved the lymph glands under her left arm as well. After an ultrasound the radiologist felt that a biopsy was uncalled for. However, the swelling is increasing, could you please advise?
The swelling in question seems to be sub mandibular gland instead of parotid gland. You have also mentioned about the lymph nodes in the left arm(axilla). It can be malignancy.Consult your doctor.
