What Causes Tissue In Cervical Mucus?

I have small skinlike pieces in my cervical mucus that is lotion like. I m several days before my period is expected and this is not the first time that this happens. Is this normal? What is the skin like tissue from since I am several days from my period starting?

Hello,

Lotion live cervical mucus comes at time of ovulation. therefore it is normal. You need to seek doctor at time of vaginal discharge is:
- Heavier than usual
- Thicker than usual
- Pus-like
- White and clumpy (like cottage cheese)
- Grayish, greenish, yellowish, or blood-tinged
- Foul- or fishy-smelling
- Accompanied by itching, burning, a rash or soreness
