Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently had an endoscopy done and was told there was food in my stomach that doesn't digest. Now my stomach is very distended causing difficulty breathing, they said the results of the scope showed only undigested food, what is causing the bloating and difficulty breathing.
Well come to HCM
Thank for asking
Your query being appreciated, difficulty in breathing could be due to dyspepsia foramtion of flatulence, acidic phenomenon, allergic condition due to food, but it seems not the serious condition, I would suggest to try PPI (Proton pump inhibitor) like Omerazole 40 mg with Domperidone 10 mg once in day and it has to be continued for five weeks, it would be better to try antibiotic because I have seen many cases with such complaints that have well responded to antibiotic and the drug of choice is Tab Doxycycline 100 mg once in day for 10 days, avoid eating full stomach but divide the meal in 2 to 3 parts, avoid taking spicy food, oily food, fat contained food, try to stay away from the stress, hope this information helps.
