Thank you for the question and thank you for visiting our site.
In women who are pregnant, the hormones of the pregnancy cause relaxation of the smooth muscle sphincter that prevents backflow of stomach acid into the esophagus. We call this reflux disease, or GERD. This can be treated with over-the-counter antacids. Also, related to hormones, there is slowing down of the entire bowel tract causing increased gas, constipation and fullness. In addition to antacids, some women benefit from medications that contain a medication called simethicone, such as 'Gas-X'. You can check the label to see what contains this active ingredient. I am sure that if you try a combination of medications, you can achieve relief. If not, then you need to talk to your OB Provider.
I hope that this helps and good luck!
