Hi, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about a month ago and I am on Synthoid.
Almost 2weeks after being diagnosed I had a hysteroscopy and polypectomy. Its was found that I had endometrial hyperplasia. My doctor said that I had too much Estrogen and has put me on a course of progesterone (Utrogestan) - 200mg for 15 days of the month. I am on Day 9 of the progesterone and am bleeding rather heavily- is this normal? I am expecting a breakthrough bleed at the end of the 15 days. My usual monthly cycle ended 9 days ago so I know this isn't that.
I am day 19 post hysteroscopy/polypectomy. Just wanted to know if it is normal to have breakthrough bleeding while on progesterone?
