Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
The other day i had about 7-10 seconds of what i believe was Ventricular fibrillation. My heart was quivering and did not pump blood. I have had short flutters before but nothing that frightened me. I read that flutters are normal, but after having my heart do that i am wondering if i should see a doctor. I am a female, 17 yrs old, 110 lbs, and have a family history of strokes/some heart diseases (only older than 40). I have a pretty healthy diet (rarely have caffeine) and i m somewhat active. I want to have reason to believe that it is nothing serious because i am very young, but please let me know if I should see a doctor! Other symptoms: Fatigue lasting several weeks Loss of appetite
Hi Thank you for sharing with HCM I read your query and understand your concern I read your symptoms and I don't think that those cause might be ventricular fibrillation Those may be palpitation but it is difficult to make diagnose without examinations I would reccomend to schedule an electrocardiogram which is enough to see you cardiac rhythm and if it is normal you have nothing to worry about Continue your healthy diet and avoid caffeine and energy drinks Eat meals regularly Wish you good health and fast recovery Feel free to contact me further questions or queries Regards Dr Drilona Kenga Cardiologist
