I have been having problems with my stomach for about 4-5 months now, and been throwing up 4-5 times daily since. In the past 3 months everytime I throw up there are becoming more and more of black chunks in my throw up. I have abdominal pain and sometimes run low grade fever. Is the black chunks something to be worried about?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Vomiting black chunks may be due to gastrtis or peptic ulcer disease with bleeding with clots or it may be food particles.

Avoid spicy food and alcohol, avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.

Use tablet pantoprazole. If symptoms not improved please consult your gastroenterologist he will do upper GI endoscopy and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
