Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.
Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query
I think the problem was due to the low sugars. This is a common phenomenon with oral tablets for
diabetes. The tablets may accumulate in the body and cause
hypoglycemia. you may in fact need to meet your treating doctor to know a more correct and possibly reduced dose of the medicine. unfortunately I cannot help you with that because the query is silent on the medicine.
Meanwhile, do take more juices and sugar rich fluids. they help in raising the sugars faster than the oral foods. And of course meet a doctor. If the hypoglycemia was due to accumulated tablet, possibility of a repeat episode in next 48 hours is high.
Keep checking sugars regularly- atleast 8 hourly, preferably before meals. Check
HbA1c too. if its low, the possibility is that your sugar is too well controlled
I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further.
