Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
About two hours ago, I noticed my right thigh was unusually warm to the touch. When I got home, i checked webmd and came up with deep vein thrombosis. I did some research and I m having a LOT of the symptoms of dvt. I noticed that I ve been having random heart palpitations more frequently recently, which is starting to seriously worry me since the article I just read said those are one of the more serious symptoms. Do I need to rush to the emergency room right this second, or can I wait until the morning when my doctors office opens?

What Causes Warmth In Thighs?
Hello, It can be an early sign of cellulitis. Consult a general surgeon and get evaluated. Antibiotics might be started at the earliest. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
