Hi,
According to your description:
-Irregularity in periods can be seen due to many causes like psychological stress and strain, changes in weight, diet, sleep, etc. which can affect the reproductive hormonal levels.
-Thyroid hormonal imbalance,
prolactin level fluctuation can also affect menstrual cycles.
-Abdominal cramps, breast tenderness,
thick vaginal discharge could be due to premenstrual hormonal effect.
-Usually the consistency of the cervix will be firm, in
pregnancy it will be soft.
If you think that your cervical descent is present and it is hard in consistency, better to get examined once and go for a
pap smear.
-If there is any possibility of pregnancy, please go for a urine pregnancy test once.
-If irregularity in menstrual cycles persists, you may need to undergo investigations like hemogram, blood sugar levels, thyroid profile,
ultrasound, etc. With this work-up the possible cause of your problem can be identified and treatment can be planned.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
