What Causes Xiphoid Process Pain?

what type of doctor should I see for pain of the xiphoid process? I saw my primary MD and he wasn't really impressed, but I'm having a hard time wearing a bra :/ without increased pain and the Ibuprofen/Naproxyn don't seem to do much to relieve it completely....Any ideas?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion you should consult orthopedic doctor to rule out costochondritis.
Xiphoid process pain is commonly seen in costochondritis. It is inflammation of cartilagious joint.
Tight fitted undergarments, local trauma etc are causes for this.
So better to consult orthopedic doctor.
Wear appropriate size undergarments. Avoid movements causing pain.
Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
Start painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
