Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dear Doctor, I'm male, age 62, with chronic gastro reflux. Acid is controlled by Pantoprazole. Heavy alcohol user most of life. Now i stopped drinking mostly red wine (for a week) I see my stools are very bright yellow. Do you think a hiatus hernia might be causing this? I am a bit scared by this
Hello, I have read your query. Hiatus hernia does not cause yellow discoloration of the stools. Have you noticed yellow discoloration of urine or yellow color in the eyes. If yes the please check your blood for Bilirubin levels. Hope this helps Regards
