What Could Be The Black Marks On The Scar After Tonsillectomy?
Hello. Im nineteen and had my tonsillectomy this past Friday and have been taking my amoxicillin and pain medication as directed as well as stuck to my diet of soft food. I just took a look at my throat and there are black marks on my scar tissue. Is this something to be worried about? I m also still feeling a great deal of pain it being five days past my surgery.
in my opinion this is eschar tissue formed normally after tonsillectomy, on raw surfaces. you shouldn't worry about this. this will automatically get converted to healthy tissue overtime. pain will remain for few more days, for that you just need to take pain killers. if you have anything other problem, you can always see your operating surgeon, as he is best person to judge your tonsillectomy concern.
