What Could Be The Cause For Nose Block After Taking Chemotherapy For Pleural Mesothelioma?

My dad just completed his second week of Gemzar chemo for pleural meso (he started with carbo/alimta after 8 rounds alimta alone, after 15 gemzar. His nose is extremely blocked and does have a little bit of not being able to get a good breath. He is on Oxycontin he just started 2 weeks ago 10 mg at night first week then Thursday he added the am as well 10 mg. He uses oxycodone 5/325 for breakthrough 4-6hrs. Is there anything you know to help his nose problem and he was also put on an inhaler am and pm one puff tudorza pressair 400mcg Any help of course it's a weekend

This nasal obstruction is may be due to chemo''s side effect. Just relax, it should come back to normal once chemo is done. Meanwhile you can use xylometazoline or oxymtazoline nasal drops to relieve nasal congestion. And you can try steam inhalation also.
