I have what looks like a pus pocket on the bottom of my left tonsil? My left ear has been popping for about 2 weeks. I noticed the pocket because I feel like I have something in my throat. What could it be? Should I see my general practitioner about it?
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The pus pocket you are describing can be because of the peritonsillar abscess. Nothing to be panic, consult an ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. Mean while you can take a course of antibiotics like amoxicillin and metronidazole(if you are not allergic). Do saline gargling. After taking these antibiotics the infection will subside, if the infection recurs then you need to get it treated surgically. I hope I have answered your query, take care.
