Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Actually any kind of bleeding in the first trimester can be dangerous.
Sometimes a little spotting or bleeding is normal, and can be associated with a normally progressing
pregnancy.
However at times, it is possible that it might indicate the beginning of a
miscarriage or an
abortion.
If the bleeding is heavy and is associated with pain and cramping, this is particularly so.
You should not wait for the bleeding to progress to the stage of inevitable abortion.
Please visit your obstetrician and have a thorough internal check up including a pelvic
transvaginal ultrasound scan.
This will reveal if the cardiac activity of the baby is fine, and if everything is normal.
Regarding testing positive in the test of CMV, please upload your results if possible.
A positive IgM indicates infection, a positive Ig G merely indicates immunity and there is nothing to worry then.
All the best.
Take care.
