What Could Be The Reason For Having Pain In The Center Of My Chest Under The Top Of My Ribcage?

I have been having this pain in the center of my chest under the top of my rib cage since about 1 30 this morning at first it was really bad and I almost called an ambulance but it slowly subsided and now has turned into an almost constant dull ache up under my ribcage and around my lower part of shoulder blades what could cause this?

Thanks for writing to HCM

You need proper clinical examination and investigations.
Pain may be due to musculoskeletal,cardiac,pulmonary or Gastrointestinal causes.
You need routine hemogram,RBS,LFT,RFT,Lipid profile,upper GI endoscopy,Ultrasound of abdomen,ECG in all leads,chest X-ray(PA view).Further investigation can be done if needed.
Treatment depends upon clinical findings and investigation reports.
