Hi,

Would like to suggest that if you have mentioned your age and past medical history more accurate answer can be given. Anyhow according to your history:
- Tiredness, back pain, nausea, hot flashes can be seen in premenstrual phase due to the fluctuation of hormones estrogen and progesterone.
As your urine pregnancy test gave negative result, the possibility of pregnancy is less and you may get periods soon.
Supplements of evening primrose oil, vitamin E can decrease the symptoms to some extent.

-If you do not get periods even after one week from now, please repeat the test or go for blood test for pregnancy, to completely rule out the possibility.

-In perimenopausal age also these type of symptoms can be seen due to hormonal fluctuation. Hormone replacement can help.

Regarding the swelling of the cervix, please consult your Gynecologist once and get examined. If swelling and any associated features like erosion etc noted, treatment can be taken according to the cause and severity.

Local and systemic antibiotics can help in mild cases. Cryotherapy can help in moderate cases, Surgical approach may be needed in further progression.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
