What Could Be The Reason For Having Swelling In My Face With A Lump Which Is Very Painful?

Hello I wonder if you can help I had a hard limp form under my skin over a year ago its grown since. I went to my doctor and they told me to try and pop it as it may be a blocked pore. In doing so it was a lot of white/yellow smelly pus. Now my face is swollen with a large lump very painful and almost feels as if its burning under the skin. What could this be

Hello,
Thanks for the query.

You might have developed cellulitis.

These are deep bacterial infections.

Treatment is with antibiotics,

Its better to get culture of pus done and antibiotic be started based on that.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
