What Could Be The Reason For Swelling And Soreness In Labia Minora And Blisters Like Canker Sores?
Do I have herpes? I have never had sex, oral sex, or anything but my labia minora is very swollen and extremely painful to sit or walk. I have noticed blisters, they looked kind of like canker sores that I get in my mouth sometimes. I am in much pain and I don t know what s wrong. I can t possibly have an STD/STI because I have never had sex or sexual contact. What is happening? Please help me ASAP.

Hi,
It looks like inflammation or infection of the vulva. It may be caused by friction rub or allergy to soaps, detergents, shower gel or an infection caused by bacteria or yeast. However the possibility of an infection is less in your case because infection is associated with change in vaginal discharge and its features.
For now apply cold compresses and wear cotton undergarments, change the napkins frequently to avoid any aggravation of infection. Can have anti inflammatory drug like ibuprofen/acetaminophen and topical antiseptic cream will bring an earlier improvement. Consult your gynecologist for further management.
Regards
