I have a very painful cough with fever of 102.9 early evening yesterday. I have body aches, malaise no phlegm production.Fever went down to 99.2 when I woke today. fever is now rising again 101 measured at 5pm. I went outside in the -20 weather for 15 min, I am wondering if that may have caused my condition.I am 52 year old male smoker.
Hi, From history it seems that you might be having acute lower respiratory tract infection giving rise coughing, high fever and malaise. Consult your doctor and get examined. You may require one course of higher antibiotic medicine. There might be possibility of having pneumonitis. Meanwhile take paracetamol tablet for fever and body ache. Take cough syrup for symptomatic relief from coughing. Take rest. Ok and take care.
