What Could Cause Chronic Light Bleeding, Already Suffering From Irregular Cycles?
Hello, I have always had an abnormal period I first got my period when I was 15-16 years old. I would have my period one month and then I wouldn't have it again for 3 months or longer. I had my period one month ago and ever since then I have had blood in my underwear everyday and when I wipe. Do you know what could be the cause of this? Thank you
It is usual for the first few years after the first period for cycles to be irregular. However a hormonal imbalance or a cervical polyp may also cause similar symptoms.
Do not worry. These are common problems and are treatable.

So get an ultrasound and a hormone test and done to look for the cause. Most of the time a short course of progesterone or oral contraceptive pills helps correct hormonal imbalance. Do not worry.
