What Could Cause Fever In A 3.5 Years Old Child?
hello doctor,
my child (3.5)yrs have fever for past 4 days ( temp ranging 101.6 and below). she has cold and cough also , my peadeatric advised to give loetemp once in 4 hrs........my doubt is whats the difference between crocin suspension and lowtemp and which is prefered...........her temperature raises once in 4 hrs.......and i want to know abt bro - zedex sryup side effect.........and is it advisable for kids,,,,,,(my kids weight is 15)

No difference between Lotemp and Crocin are same if the strengths are same (120mg/5ml). 5mg doesn't make difference.
Better avoid combination medicines like Brozedex.
Fever of four days without any localizing signs could as well a viral illness. Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day. If she is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably and it doesn't require antibiotics at all.
Once viral fever comes it will there for 4-7 days. So do not worry about duration if the kid is active. You can treat fever with Paracetamol at 15mg/kg/dose every 4-6th hourly if fever is > 100F.
