What Could Cause Ovarian Pain?

Hi, I ve had ovary pain for a while now which was progressively worse when I was on the contraceptive pill Norgeston (not sure if relevant). I now experience a dull ache in the ovary area, and sometimes experience shooting pains on the left side and just have a general feeling of discomfort. After I have sex I experience severe cramps and feel very bloated. When I have been sitting even for short periods of time I experience numbness in my calves and feet and have to walk around for about five minutes to get the sensation back. Any idea what could be troubling me?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A detailed clinical evaluation, blood investigations, and pelvic ultrasound are required at this point to rule out possible ovarian pathology like a cyst.
So please follow up with your ObGyn as soon as possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
