What Could Cause Pain In Leg, Thigh, Knee And Calf With No Help From Painkillers?

FOR THE LAST FIVE WEEKS I HAVE SUFFERED FROM LEG PAIN . THE THIGH ,THE KNEE AND CALF .NOT SEVERE BUT MORE PRONOUNCED WHEN I GO TO BED . DURING THE DAY THE PAIN SUBSIDES WHEN I STAND AND WALK. HAVE TAKEN PAIN KILLERS NAPROXEN . IBUPROFEN BUT LITTLE OR NO IMPROVEMENT. REGARDS .MR.R.G.LISTER AGE 81

This can be pain of nerve compression at spine or due to knee arthritis. As you are saying that it occurs more when lying down. It looks like a nerve pain. Are you a smoker , than avoid this. Start taking pregabalin and methylcobal tablet. If pain become less than its fine otherwise get MRI of spine to confirm the diagnosis.
