What Could Cause Recurring Headaches While Being On Oxygen For COPD?
i m getting reocurring headaches i wear glasses but they are new about 3 months now i have COPD and on oxygen for about 6 months. Headaches come every day no particular time of day for the last 2 weeks headaches arent migraine on side of head eye area
Hi. You are suffering from COPD and are now on Ling term oxygen therapy. The usual cause of headache in patients with COPD is carbon dioxide retention. It is thus impotant in your case to check Arterial Blood Gases and if CO2 is high, then check whether your are getting more than required oxygen, because this would lead to CO2 retention and headache.
