What Could Cause Shortness Of Breath In People With Diarrhea?

Was down with diarrhea (more than 15 times) and vomitting( twice) yday. had stomach cramps. took charcoal tablets. was short of breath when it all happened. today though no more vomitting and diarrhea still short of breath. when shortness of breath feel stomach bloated,lightheaded and very tired. when sleep its ok. what is it that I am having?

Hi welcome to health care magic....

Here as you are having diarrhea, vomitting and dyspnea it should not be neglected...

Your work up is needed with. ....
-Auscultation
-Stool examination
-chest x ray
-Usg abdomen
-CBC

According to report treatment is given..

If no specific cause present than might be generalised viral infection...

Maintain hydration and electrolyte balance with more water and ORS sachet also

For vomitting domperidone tablet can be given...

If non infective diarrhea (fever absent and no pus cell in urine) than antibiotic not needed and racecadrotril like antidiarrheal drug might prescribed
