What Could Cause Sudden Swelling Of The Thumb And Chest Cold At The Same Time?

I have a chest cold and I'm not sure if this may be the cause of my swollen thumb, but out of the blue, my thumb began to swell and i read a few blogs that said it may be due to an infection. Is this true, maybe I have a URI and not just a chest cold? or is there something else causing my thumb to swell?

Hi. If the thumb has swollen without any pain or redness, it can be due to allergy which in addition might have caused chest cold. Do you have a pain , fever, redness or so. We would be more happy to answer your queries if you provide us more information.
