Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Could Cause Swollen Ankle With Inverted Foot?
I had an accident about 18 weeks ago now. My ankle is swollen and my foot is inverted. I have seen ortho and was told he had no idea what is wrong. It has been 18 weeks and my foot is still swollen and painful very pin point to the outside of the ankle and top of the ankle.
It could be a contusion or sprain. Consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan. As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
