What Could Pain In Lower Rib Cage Radiating To Stomach And Arm Suggest?
I have had pain in left lower rib cage for 8 weeks. Presents itself as cramping sensation but painful. I can put my fingers on lower part of my rib and it pops in and out as I breathe.. My husband felt it as well. It radiates up to my breast and at times is better laying down, but tonight its very sore. My doctor says ibuprofen... EKG x2 over 6 weeks=normal. Chest xray 3 weeks ago=normal. Blood work today for organs in the area...but I m so scared What can this be? Sometimes radiates to my arm and on occasion can be felt on right side but only as of the past couple days. So so sensitive to the touch and so is my stomach area.
Sometimes it can just be a tender rib in that area that can cause these kind of pains on and off. Bone pains are sometimes unusually tender and takes longer time to go away. If not better then the best will be to do a CT scan of the chest and the abdomen to rule out any pathology.
