Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 6 yr old daughter has been complaining of stomach pain around her naval it seems like for months now....approx a month I brought her to emerg since she woudn't stop crying but then it went away and they found nothing. She complains sporadically ..4-5 times a week. Today I noticed her stomach is very swollen and quite hard...I'm concerned again, should I take her to emerg since it is a long weekend and Dr office os closed?
though I m not a peadriatician... children of that age group commonly infest worms.. so u can take albendazole syrup for 3 days... and get a Ultrasound of her abdomen to look for any pathology. Also that would save ur initial consult fees.. cause even they may end up writing a USG abdomen.
