What Could Puss Oozing Spot In Throat Indicate, Earlier Had Tonsil Stones?

I have had tonsil stones for some time now. I check my mouth regularly and when I see a spot I push on it to get it out before it actually has a head to it.. I checked my mouth the other day and when I put pressure on the one side it had puss oozing out but it was not a solid form. This is the first time it has not been solid...It has been almost a week now getting some out a couple times a day....No pain....I have sinus drainage every morning and throughout the day.... Thank you

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have puss oozing spot in throat indicate which is due to streptococcal infection and it could be co-infection by bacteria and viral infection to your body. Puss oozing spots are pus pockets . I would suggest you to start with anti-inflammatory medication such as Levocetrizine and antibiotic such as Lrevofloxacin. If it is due to tonsil stones usually treatment is not necessary, as the tonsils will clean themselves just do warm saline gargles and suck on lemon candy. You should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and get blood tests done. You should get endoscopy and CT scan done to rule out any systemic cause. Need not to panic. You should start treatment after proper prescription and diagnosis. Avoid cold beverages and hot spicy food. Sip on warm water.
