Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
Upper
respiratory tract infection may precede all other symptoms in
pityriasis rosea,The rash may be accompanied by
body ache, fever, headache, nausea and symptoms of ear and
throat infection.
Pityriasis rosea is a self-limiting rash. It goes away on its own without any treatment.
Its exact cause is unknown. No organism has been isolated as a cause but certain types of human herpes viruses may play a role.It is not associated with food, medicines or stress.
The symptoms of Pityriasis rosea usually lasts for 2-10 weeks but can last as long as five months.
For my patients with this symptoms I would have suggested
1.Simple creams having soothing to the skin and reduce the itching.
2.Antihistamine tablets may help to reduce the itching. It can be prescribed by your doctor.
3.Your doctor may prescribe a
steroid cream if your itching is more severe.
Hope you are satisfied with the answer, feel free to post the queries.
Thank you.
