What Could Restlessness With Lack Of Sleep Suggest?

My husband has been feeling extremely restless, along with clamminess and the inability to sleep soundly. At first, we thought it was a reaction to OTC cold medicine, but he has not taken it in weeks and the feelings have not subsided at all. He is beginning to worry about these symptoms, do you have any thoughts as to what it might be?

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. Lack of sleep could occur due to many reasons. But always primary concern should be given to stress, negative thinking, obsession and apprehension. You could talk to your husband about the matter and appraise him of the problems due to that. You should consult a physician in order to eliminate other organic causes and then consult a psychologist for counseling and stress disorder related therapies. Exercise, creative activities and games etc provide good sleep.
