What Could Strands Of Blood In Stool Suggest?

Yes, I am scheduled for a colonoscopy on Monday and have been very nervous due to the fact that I have had "strands" of blood in my stool on and off for the last several days. I go several days without any blood and then I will see some. I don't have any other symptoms.

Hi...

Welcome to healthcare magic.

As you mentioned you have problem of blood in stool problem.
I mention some reason behind it...
Intestinal poly or ulcerative colitis may lead to blood in stool problem.
Diverticular disease may ruled out.
Special investigation like colonoscopy examination is helpful for further diagnosis.
Consult a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis.

I hope this will help.
Get well soon..
Thank you.
