What Could The Doctor's Suggestion About Fetal Position Suggest?

im 38weeks 5days..yestday i had very bad loose stool after lunch and dinner.. my doc say my cervix is dilated about 1cm when i was 34weeks.. but this week she did internal check up and said baby head is positioned but not fixed.. im so confused what it means

hi,babys head is positioned means its a vertex baby means head towards maternal pelvis but not fixed means it has not entered the pelvic bone of the mother which it should have had by now.the causes for above can be big head of the baby,narrow maternal pelvis etc.if the head is not fixed the chances of c section are increased but in multigravidas the head can get fixed even after going in labour but not in primigravidas.take care and all the best.
