What Diet Should Be Followed For An Ulcerated Voice Box?

Hello, my husband went to an ENT yesterday for throat pain and was told that the pain in his throat is an ulcerated voice box. His diet needs to change and he has been given medicine for his acid reflex and told to take ibuprofen for the pain, but he is in massive pain. Any suggestions for pain management as he has been suffering for over a week?

Hello,

Soft cool food is useful. Avoid spicy food and alcohol. Use juices, rice water with low salt, Pongal, dal , and ice creams etc.

Use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
