What Do Intervertebral Disc Desiccation, Disc Extrusion And Disc Bulge On MRI Mean?
Hi, my mri shows intervertebral disc desiccation L3-L4,L4-L5 and L5-S1 levels. Also left postero lateral disc extrusion L5-S1 level causing grade 1 thecal sac and left root compression. Lastly posterior disc bulges L3-L4 and L4-L5 levels causing mild thecal sac compression. Plz help as Dr suggested surgery and i m always in paĆn. Female 26 yrs age
Hi! I think that you have a problem that is very common in many peoples . Desiccation is a degenerative disease . Extrusion is a hernia of disc who is caused as advanced degenerative disc disease and disc bulging is degenerative disease too. I think as you have pain you should strain yourself and should drink so much water 3 - 4 liters a day ,also you may take some pain killer. You should not keeps weight. When you be well you may practice sport like swimming(without gravity). I do not suggest surgery.
