Hi i am having PSVT Problem confirmed by one cardiologist .... just a week ago .. due to BP problem i went to physician and he did ECG which was normal.. but slightly my BP was up .. around 100 and 150... and he told me that yr heart rate is high 120 ... may be the cause of PSVT . he suggest me Claptin40 for twice in a day.. Any other advice plz to take care of PSVT problem.
Hello Thanks for writing to HCM Your doctor has prescribed you a right medication for the problem. PSVT is treated with either betablockers or calcium channel blockers(claptin 40) or both. But we have to take it regularly not at the time of episode. Only Injectable can help at the time of episode not the oral drugs. The aim of the treatment is to stop the PSVT episodes to occur not to wait for the episode and than we have to take the medication. It can be dangerous because we don't know when we get the episode. During the episode try to vomit it will stop immediately. In my personal opinion consult your doctor again and discuss about it. If you smoke our advise for heart patient always remain Stop smoking. Discuss this with your doctor and then decide Hope this helps Take Care.
