What Do You Suggest For Neutrophil And Lymphocyte Percentages Being High/low Respectively?
Hi, my mother was throwing up "coffee grounds" earlier today. We went to the ER and nothing was found on the CAT scan, but her Neutrophil and Lymphocyte percentages and absolutes were high/low respectively. Her NEUT% was 82.2 on a ref of 50.0-70.0% and her LYMPH% was 9.8 on a ref of 20.0-44.0%. Her ABS NEUT was 6.87 on a ref of 2.20-4.80 K/uL and her ABS LYMPH was 0.82 on a ref of 1.30-2.90 K/uL. What does this suggest?
Hi, welcome to Health care magic forum. The coffee ground vomiting suggests there might be the capillary bleeding in the stomach, may be due to the bleeding peptic ulcer,or bleeding due to the hypertension,or high fever etc. I advise you to consult a gastroenterologist for diagnosis and treatment. She may need to have gastroscopy for confirmation. Avoid giving her spices, junk foods, and oily foods to avoid gastric irritation. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms injections of metachlopramide, and styptics, and advise to give ice water for local treatment. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
