Before 2 weeks ago she suffered from a severe pain behind her right eye .. with abnormality of her eye look like narrowing pulpebral fissure of the eye Exophthalamus ...and severe pain behind her right eye suddenly and continuous .. but she can see from this eye with little hezzy .. MRI showing periventricular ischaemic plaques are seen ..please what are your diagnosis ? Treatment ?
There are many causes that might cause pain in the right eye with diabetes
1. Diabetes retinopathy 2. Increased intraocular pressure due to blockage of trabecular meshwork 3. Thyroid abnormalities leading to exoptholmos 4. Cavernous sinus thrombosis.
Since your MRI is showing periventricular ischamic plaques it is evident it is caused due to atheroscelrosis of the arterial vessel wall.
Diagnosis might be due to cavernous sinus thrombosis.
There are different modalities of treatment which is collectively evaluated by vascular surgeon and neurologist.
Thanks
