My gyno has done an ultrasound with a finding 10.5mm, with heterogeneous cystic changes? due to hyperplasia. In addition there is an area of focal echogenicity measuring 0.9x0.7x0.4cm, ?polypoid change. This lies to the left of midline. Conclusion Endometrial hyperplasia and focal polypid change? Haemorrhagic complication ovarian cyst left side. Gyno will perform a hysteroscopy in a couple of weeks time. I am worried it may be cancerous?! thanks N

Hello

Due to heterogeneous echotexture of endometrium, you need biopsy of endometrium. It may be due to both benign or malignant reasons.
Biopsy can explain exact etiology.
During hysteroscopy,biopsy can be taken.
Focal echogenic lesions in endometrium may be polyps or submucosal fibroids. These are generally benign conditions and mostly managed conservatively.
However, you need clinical correlation and follow up.
Cyst in ovaries are need follow up.In most of the cases, these are benign and get resolve with time.

Get well soon.
Take Care
