What Does HDL-low 33 Mg/dl And Triglycerides-195 Mg/dl Indicate?

Age : 49 yrs
Height : 167 cm.
Weight : 72 Kg
Medical history : hypertension and taking 1 tab Anzigar AT 50mg.
father and Brther : No family record of heart disease but patient of hypertension.
No family record of diabetis
TMT positive for inducible myocardial ischemia.
Good exercise tolerance, normotensive BP response
ECG Normal, No diabetic symptoms, HDL is low 33 mg/dl, triglycerides 195 mg/dl - My doctor says to go for CAG.
What is your opinion?

Thanks for using healthcaremagic.I understand your concern.
If i were your physician,would also suggest for further evaluation with coronary angiogram to assess coronary vessel state,as your HDL(Good cholesterol) level(normal 40mg/dl and above) is low and serum triglycerides(Safe below 150mg/dl ) is high which are nowadays considered as an independent risk factor for the development of coronary artery disease other than treadmill test positivity and hypertension.Hope this information helps you.If any further questions ,wish to answer .
