Hello, I have had a hip issue...MRI results A small amount of joint fluid within the left hip joint. Focal marrow T2 hypertensity in the superior acetabulum and small cystic changes in the anterior acetabulum with adjacent Labral tear involving the anterosuperior corner. Mild tendinosis of the gluteus medius tendon with mild underlying sub gluteus minims bursitis. Patchy T2 hyperintensity in the region of trochanteric bursa. Mild tendinosis of the proximal hamstring insertion as well as the iliopsoas insertion at the lesser trochanter Mild right trochantic bursitis Conclusion: Mild tendinosis involving the gluteus minimus, iliopsoas and proximal hamstring tendons Small hip joint effusion Mild subgluteal minimus and trochantic bursitis Labrel tear involving the anterosuperior corner associated with superior acetabular
1.Your report suggest there are multiple findings suggesting there is inflammatory / infective causes in the hip joint. 2.The above findings could also seen after any traumatic cause - as there is a labreltear. 3. Tendinosis - is inflammatory change seen as signal intensity changes on MRI, Joint effusion also seen in the inflammatory cause. 4.A course of antibiotic with minimising the mobility will help to treat the symptoms, physiotherapy will help in relieve the symptoms. 5.An interventional treatment for tears will help - depends on the age and underlying medical condition of the patient.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
