i want to ask about my 4 years daughter, i had asked a lab for her regular blood test by mistake her ttg is done by lab and its value is 142 but she doesnt have any symptoms is it possible that if child has worms in stomach then her ttg level can increase
hello i have gone through query. The tTG IgA or IgG antibody tests are usually done to help doctors diagnose celiac disease (gluten-sensitive enteropathy).normal values are: 4.0-10.0 U/mL (weak positive) >10.0 U/mL (positive) Common clinical manifestations related to gastrointestinal inflammation include abdominal pain, malabsorption, diarrhea, and constipation. If gluten is removed from the diet, there won't be an antibody response. as you mentioned she doesnt have any symptoms it can also be because of worm infestation.a deworming drug like albendazole can be given.
