What Does A Hard Throbbing In One Side Of Neck And Pain In Upper Back And Chest Mean?
What does a hard throbbing in one side of me neck mean? Happening the past two days when I stand up from laying down or sitting. Also have pain in my upper back and chest ( on the opposite side of the neck throbbing) when I move my arm or strain when I lift ( I Work in retail and uses ladder and lift/ frequently)
I have studied your case. This can be due to venous pulsation obstruction leading to throbbing pain, usually seen in thoracic outlet syndrome Due to compression of this nerve root there can be throbbing sensation. I will advise you to MRI cervical spine for better diagnosis.
For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started. Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help. Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief. I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care
