Someone I know was told that her baby suddenly had no heartbeat and the fetal pole was no longer visible. At my friend s ultrasound the heartbeat was about 120 and was told that everything seemed fine. There was concern when the blood levels dropped, when in the beginning the levels doubled and seemed great. Should she get a second opinion and could they be missing something here? Now her levels seem to be going up again. She was told to prepare for a miscarriage and she could have it naturally or by D&C. I also must mention that she had some light spotting on and off, but now this seems to have ceased
