What Does Antinuclear Antibody Immunofluorescence Test And Blood Counts Indicate?

Hi! My husband is 51 years old. He has undergone anti nuclear antibody immunoflourescence test. The result is weak positive. pattern - cytoplasmic speckled. HAV-Igm Ab Hepatatis A virus serum by CMIA is NON - REACTTIVE (0.36) HEV - IgM Ab to Hepatatis E virus, serum by E.I.A is POSITIVE (8.54)

His complete blood count shows MCHC -35.20 - mentioned as High. Neutophils 79% mentioned high. R.B.C. -4.37 - Low, Haemoglobin 13.20 mentioned low, Haemotocrite 37.50 mentioned low. Plateletes count 112 mentioned low.

Biochemistry- Alkaline phosphate .37 c - 656.80 mentioned High. SGPT 37 c - 934 mentioned High. SGOT - 784.60 mentioned high. S.Total protein 5.80 mentioned low, S. Albumin - 3.00 mentioned low.

Australia Antigen test result - Hepatatis B surface Antigen - NOT DETECTED.

ANTI HCV ANTIBODIES- Test result Antibodies to hepatais C virus - NOT DETECTED.

fOR PAST 15 DAYS HE FEELS VERY TIRED , aBDOMEN DISCOMFORT. PASES dARK YELLOW URINE. hIS EYES AND BODY PIGMENTED - YELLOW. lOSS OF APETITE.

What do the above results indicate . What are the risks. What is the line of treatment. What should be the diet. And what is the recovery period.

As per your description, your husband is possibly suffering from Hepatitis E which is a very severe disease in general!

Please consult some hepatobiliary / gastroenterology specialist before anything else!

Regarding you other questions, antinuclear antibody immunofluorescence test result is weak positive. pattern - cytoplasmic speckled;It is a non-specific finding and not to worry about that!


Blood hematology reports say that he has anemia, less of RBCs and platelets...possibly complications of jaundice!
