Just received blood/urine test results. These are out of the normal range -- what does it mean? Triglycerides 161.00 MG/DL Specific gravity 1.04 White blood cell 93.00/HPF Red blood cells 8.00/HPF Protein- Quantitative 48.00MG/DL
Hello and welcome to HCM, The triglyceride levels should be below 150 mg/dl. Your report is showing triglyceridemia. Triglyceride is one of the lipids in the blood. When its levels are raised drugs are required to lower its level since high levels are associated with increased cardiovascular risk.
The urine report is showing normal specific gravity. The number of pus cells or white blood cells is raised and the number of red blood cells is also increased. This suggests presence of infection in the urinary tract. The levels of proteins is also raised in urine. Proteins are raised in kidney diseases.
